Night Owl
I've spent my life
Measuring sleep
And falling short.
I don't think
I'll ever sleep enough
But I've lived
So many hours
Beyond sleep, life,
The universe and everything.
Some day,
That bargain
Will feel enough.
Or I'll finally learn
To sleep.
